The superintendent provides the School Board, the district staff, and the community with leadership to achieve the goals and objectives of the school district.
Business Services provides the services in the district that support the instructional process and student achievement. Financial management of the district, including budget development, accounting and purchasing, is done through Business Services.
Communications works closely with administration and staff to inform employees and the public about what is happening in the district.
The executive director of human resources and operations provides the leadership and coordination for human resources, business services, property services, transportation and food services.
Throughout the school year, food and nutrition employees work to make sure that nutritious food is provided to the students and staff of Moorhead Area Public Schools. On any given school day, more than 3,000 meals are served in our schools.
Human Resources, which recruits qualified teachers and personnel to enhance the instructional program, serves the employees of the Moorhead Area Public Schools throughout their employment with the district.
Information Systems and Instructional Support, under the direction of the executive director, administers the Moorhead School District's technology and related programs as well as the district's telecommunications and network computer systems.
Learning and Accountability, under the direction of the assistant superintendent, directs the development and implementation of the overall E-12 curriculum and instructional program and provides support to the schools to implement district and school improvement plans. Besides working with the E-12 educational program, the office also is responsible for the district's assessment and professional development programs and Community Education. Title I, English as a Second Language and Indian Education are some of the programs offered for students who require educational assistance or support.
Learner Support Services, under the direction of the executive director, provides a full range of educational programs to meet the individual learning needs of all students, ages birth-21. The office administers services for students with a wide range of learning disabilities, emotional-behavioral disorders and mental and physical impairments.
Property Services oversees building and facility maintenance.
Transportation is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school.
