Moorhead Area Public Schools is conducting a search for its new superintendent. The search is due to the retirement of Lynne Kovash, who has served as superintendent since July 2008. The superintendent is appointed by the School Board and provides the School Board, the district staff, and the community with leadership toward the goals and objectives of the school district.
The School Board approved the hiring criteria and vacancy brochure at the Jan. 22 board meeting and developed interview questions and procedures in February. Finalists are to be selected for interviews in March with the goal of hiring a superintendent by early April. The new superintendent would begin July 1, 2018.
