Important Summer Contact Information

Moorhead Area Public Schools operates with limited staff during the summer months. The following information is provided to make it easier for the public to contact the district.

  • Red River ALC Main Office at Vista Center for Education is open Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon from June 11 to July 20. From July 23-Aug. 10, regular office hours resume Monday through Thursday. You may leave a message for Red River ALC office staff at 218-284-2200. Red River ALC operates K-12 summer programs across the district so ALC staff at Vista may not always be available. Regular office hours resume Monday-Friday on Aug. 13.
  • For questions related to the Monday Independent Study Program, please call Mary Broberg, lead teacher, at 218-284-2276. The Independent Study Program will run from Monday, June 18-Monday, Aug. 13 from 3-8 p.m. at Vista Center for Education, 2777 34th St. S. A makeup day is scheduled for Aug. 20.
  • As part of the summer food service program, free meals for all children will be served at Arrowhead Park, Queens Park and Moorhead High School. See the Moorhead Schools summer meals schedule. Meals may be purchased at Horizon Middle School using student meal accounts. 
  • Registration for 2018-19, which is required for all students, will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 21 and by appointment.
If you need immediate assistance or assistance with other inquires please call Probstfield Center for Education at 218-284-3300. The district office is open from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday through June 8. From June 11 through Aug. 10, office hours are 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7-11 a.m. Friday. Regular hours resume Aug. 13.

Moorhead Area Public Schools provides free summer meals for youth

School Board approves calendar for 2018-19 school year

At its meeting on Feb. 12, the Moorhead School Board approved the calendar for the 2018-19 school year. Classes will begin Sept. 4, 2018. The last day of classes for students is June 4, 2019, unless additional emergency makeup days are needed. Read More »
