The range of alternative programs offered by the Red River ALC is designed to serve Minnesota youth in at-risk situations as part of the participating districts' comprehensive dropout prevention programs. The Red River ALC serves students who live within the member districts of Barnesville, DGF and Moorhead.
Students in Minnesota districts who are at risk and meet eligibility criteria may open enroll to participate in the programs and services of the Red River ALC at any point during the school year.
Eligibility for Red River ALC programs and services is based on the student's need for nontraditional options and support. Referrals are accepted from schools, agencies, parents and students. Students can begin ALC programs at any point during the year.
To be eligible for participation in Red River ALC programs, a student must be under age 21 and must fit one of the following Graduation Incentives criteria:
