At the Aug. 12 meeting, the Moorhead School Board moved forward with a construction plan for growth and learning by approving the ballot language for the district’s $110 million Nov. 5 bond referendum, which will provide students in grades 9-12 with safe, inviting and inclusive learning environments.

As a volunteer, Nadine Moon has helped with all aspects of the school supply drive. As a school social worker for Moorhead Area Public Schools, Moon picks up extra backpacks and distributes them to the Moorhead schools to have as families move into the district. Moon helped the United Way of Cass-Clay kick off this year’s 21st annual school supply drive July 9 at Scheels in Fargo. Read More »

During the June 10 meeting, the Moorhead School Board approved the district’s annual operating plan, which includes the preliminary budget for the 2019-20 school year. District revenues will increase primarily because of an increase to the general education aid formula and an estimated increase in enrollment, and expenditures will increase because of construction costs for the operations center and increased staff. Welcome to Moorhead Early Childhood Family Education! ECFE is a program for every family with young children birth to kindergarten entry offered by Community Education, a program of Moorhead Area Public Schools. Families from Moorhead, Fargo, West Fargo and the surrounding areas are all welcome to attend ECFE classes.
ECFE is based on the idea that the family provides a child's first and most important learning environment, and parents are a child's first and most significant teachers. ECFE works to strengthen families and support parents in providing the best possible environment for the healthy growth and development of all children. Our licensed and experienced teachers keep up to date on the latest research on early brain development, parent-child relationships, child development and guidance techniques.
