Horizon Middle School presents the fantastical, magical ‘Seussical The Musical’

February 1, 2015

Moorhead’s Horizon Middle School presents “Seussical The Musical” at 7 p.m. Feb. 26, 27 and 28 and 2 p.m. March 1 at the Moorhead High School auditorium, 2300 4th Ave. S. The Feb. 26 performance will be sign language interpreted.

In this entertaining family musical, Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty have brought to life favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie, and a little boy with a big imagination —Jojo. “Oh, the Thinks You Can Think” captures the show’s spirit of imagination, as the colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos.

“Seussical The Musical” conveys the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community and how they are challenged and emerge triumphant in a story that makes you laugh and cry. This is a heart-warming, kid-friendly story that won't insult an adult’s intelligence.

Tickets are $9 for adults and $5.50 for students. Reserve tickets online at www.moorheadschools.org/tix or by calling the box office at 218-284-2255. Tickets are on sale beginning Feb. 1.
