Jump Start Preschool student gets Make-a-Wish trip to Florida

March 2, 2015

A Jump Start preschool class at Probstfield had a send-off party for their classmate on March 2 as he prepares to leave next week for a Make-a-Wish trip to Florida to meet Spiderman and his other favorite superheroes and Disney characters.

Ethan Gregor has DiGeorge Syndrome, which affects his heart and lungs. He had his first surgery days after he was born and many since.

According to his mom, the Make-a-Wish trip actually had to be postponed because of surgeries, and Ethan is looking forward to it. “This is a trip when he doesn't have to go the hospital,” she said.

On Monday afternoon, Ethan and his classmates shared a special snack and Disney-themed activities. Ethan also received a Spiderman backpack filled with gifts. His classmates made him a book with all the superheroes they hope he meets on his trip.
