Hopkins Elementary parking lot expansion in progress

June 25, 2015

One of the summer projects in the school district is the expansion of the parking lot at Ellen Hopkins Elementary to improve the traffic flow at the school. Concrete curbing and pavement are being poured this week. This project is part of the district’s annual operating plan.

The playground at Hopkins Elementary has been expanded. The Hopkins PTAC is helping support the playground expansion.

Additionally, a new playground is being added to the north side of S.G. Reinertsen Elementary. Funds from the Reinertsen Parent-Teacher Advisory Council are supporting the playground project.

Last summer Robert Asp Elementary’s playground was expanded, also funded in part by a significant donation from the school’s PTAC.

At Probstfield Center for Education, a kitchen remodeling project is beginning. The renovated kitchen is necessary to provide meals for kindergarten students who will be attending Probstfield Elementary.
