Moorhead School District holding substitute training

August 14, 2015

Moorhead Area Public Schools will hold substitute orientation on Tuesday, Aug. 25 from either 1-3 p.m. or from 6-8 p.m. in the Probstfield Center for Education Board Room at 2410 14th St. S., Moorhead. Training is for teachers, paraprofessionals, custodians and food service workers who have not subbed in the district before and are interested in being substitutes during the 2015-16 school year.

Substitutes will learn about the district’s Substitute Employee Management System (SEMS) and will be given copies of the district’s substitute handbook, which includes general information about working in the district.

Applications can be completed at www.moorheadschools.org.

All substitutes are asked to bring identification and documentation required for employment eligibility. A Minnesota background check is required at hire ($43).

Those who subbed last year and are interested in subbing again this year do not need to attend the orientation, but must return their profile document to be listed as a current substitute.

Substitutes should contact Julie LeRoux at 284-3352 for more information.
