Moorhead High Class of 2016 graduates June 5

June 5, 2016

The Moorhead High School Class of 2016 graduated June 5 during commencement at Minnesota State University Moorhead’s Nemzek Hall.

The Wind Ensemble under the direction of Pam Redlinger performed “Spirals of Light” by Sean O’Loughlin followed by the processional “Pomp and Circumstance.”

Opening remarks were made by Michelle Foster and Nicole Mazour.

The Chorale seniors under the direction of Kathie Brekke sang “For Good” by Stephen Schwartz, arr. Huff.

Following the slide show, Dave Lawrence, principal, presented the class for graduation and the seniors received their diplomas from members of the Moorhead School Board. Lawrence reminded the graduates that “once a Spud, always a Spud.”

Closing remarks were made by Alexander Volk, who reminded graduates to make the most of their time, before the Class of 2016 was dismissed.
