Choose orange and black on Oct. 28 to stand together to help others

October 24, 2016

During the week of Oct. 24-28, Moorhead Area Public Schools and the Safe and Healthy Learners Committee are sponsoring a districtwide “Standing Together to Help Others” campaign in every school.

Each day, inspirational awareness videos will be shared with students and staff in an effort to increase awareness, prevent bullying and encourage everyone to reach out and help those who have had to deal with the problems faced by students at every grade level.

On Friday, Oct. 28, students and staff members of Moorhead Area Public Schools will choose to wear orange and black Spud colors as a visual symbol that staff and students are unified and standing together to help students who are struggling with difficult issues in life.

In 2012 Moorhead Area Public Schools launched the districtwide bullying prevention efforts to help unite students, teachers and parents in a collaborative effort to prevent bullying within our community. This year’s campaign has been expanded to include bullying and other issues being dealt with by students.
