Moorhead High Class of 1966 challenges other classes to match contribution to Legacy Foundation

January 20, 2017

This week the reunion committee on behalf of Moorhead High School’s Class of 1966 made a donation of $1,052 to the Moorhead Schools Legacy Foundation. Cynthia Sillers, Sandie Brager and Roger Kjos from the Class of 1966 presented the contribution to Lisa Borgen, chair of the Moorhead Schools Legacy Foundation board of directors.

The Class of 1966 is challenging other classes of Moorhead High to make similar donations to the newly established Moorhead Schools Legacy Foundation.

Moorhead Schools Legacy Foundation is an independent, nonprofit organization established to support the needs of current and future students in Moorhead Area Public Schools and create an endowment to support the schools in the future.

On Feb. 9, Moorhead Schools Legacy Foundation will be part of Giving Hearts Day 2017. The foundation wants students in Moorhead Area Public Schools to receive milk/snack break and meals, even if their families are struggling to make ends meet. Contributions to the Legacy Foundation’s Food for Thought campaign will fund this effort.
