Moorhead High wrestling team ready for section tournament

February 16, 2017

Moorhead High School wrestler Riley Schock maneuvers Xavier Kadrmas from Barnesville into position during wrestling action against the Trojans. Schock wrestled at the 170 lb. weight division and pinned his opponent to help the Spuds win the Feb. 2 meet in Moorhead.

The Spud wrestlers ended their regular season with a dual record of 18-6.

“We had many positive individual performances throughout the year led by seniors Samuel Grove and Jack Lien,” said Coach Skip Toops III. “As we enter tournament time our team is ready to battle for a section title, and our individuals are ready to fight to attain what they have been working hard for all year long. This is an exciting time of year, and we are looking forward to the challenge.”
