October 20, 2017

Moorhead High School mid hitter Ayana Blythe prepares to spike the ball during volleyball action last week. The Spuds took Bemidji in three sets to improve their record to 12-5. Also pictured are Kortney Carney (11), Callie Ahlgren (1), and Brooke Walthall (7).

At Tuesday’s game, senior Kortney Carney was awarded the game ball from the Sept. 26 game against DGF, where she reached the 2,000 mark for assists.

Over the weekend, the Moorhead High volleyball team played a tournament at Lakeville North, winning two games on Friday and dropping three on Saturday. The Spuds will host the 32nd Annual Pumpkin Classic tournament Oct. 20-21 before heading into section tournament play on Wednesday, Oct. 25.
