Moorhead’s Randklev extends his scoring streak in boys hockey loss

December 21, 2017

Moorhead High’s Carter Randklev prepares to flip one past the goalie during the boys hockey matchup between No. 5 rated Moorhead and No. 3 rated Minnetonka on Dec. 16 at the Moorhead Sports Center. Randklev scored Moorhead’s only goal adding to his scoring streak of seven games.

Moorhead had its first home loss in nearly two years as the Skippers pulled out the win in the fast, action-packed game. Senior goalie Lance Leonard had 31 saves on 34 attempts. The Skippers added an open net goal at the end for a 4-1 win. The Spuds play at the Moorhead Sports Center at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22 against Cloquet and again at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23 against Grand Rapids.
