Moorhead High basketball teams split games last week

January 30, 2018

Moorhead High’s Sam Zimmerman shoots a free throw during the 65-58 loss to No.

High scorer for Moorhead at 23 points was Sam Haiby, who played her second game
since she returned from an injury. Haiby also had nine assists and eight rebounds.
Jalen Ennen scored nine points and eight rebounds for the Spuds, and Rylie Polomny
added seven points.
 
The Spuds split games for the week winning against No. 5-ranked Fargo Shanley on
Jan. 23 and are 12-8 for the season. The team plays out of town Feb. 1 and returns
home Feb. 9 to play Minnetonka.
 
The Moorhead High boys basketball team split a pair of games, beating Shanley on
Jan. 23 and falling to Elk River 63-56 on Jan. 27. The Spuds are traveling this
weekend to Sioux Falls for two games and return home Feb. 10 to play Grand
Rapids.
