Moorhead High girls swim team undefeated in duals heading into sections

The Moorhead High girls swimming and diving team finished its regular dual season with an 11-0 record.

The 43-member team began this undefeated run in August with the first meet against Fargo Davies. The Spuds took on Elk River, Burnsville, Detroit Lakes and Fergus Falls, Sheyenne, St. Cloud Tech, Fargo South, Perham, Bemidji, and Crookston, before winning their last dual over Dickinson on Oct. 26.

Head Coach Pat Anderson, Diving Coach Josh Starkweather, and Assistant Coaches Kjersten Frey and Brooke Johnson along with the Spuds swim team are now preparing to compete in the section tournament Nov. 9-10 in Elk River.

Students who will compete at sections are Emmy Seljevold, Catherine Pederson, Katie Staiger, Tristan Gentry, Kebrah Dyer, Nathamon Angsuphan, Lydia Welle, Aubrey Rodgers, Betsy Staiger, Taylor Abel, Elle Riley, Makayla Hegg, Lily Kjos, Katie Jerdee, Sydney Sagvold, Ellie Wachenhein, Danielle Hutchins, Abbie Ishaug, Ava Rodgers, Sydney Olson, Kennedy Olson, Maggie Howe, Sydney Skaurud, Alayna Janke, and Courtney Haberer.
