Moorhead tops Rogers in boys basketball
January 14, 2019
Moorhead High’s Trey Feeney shoots a free throw during the boys basketball home game against Rogers on Jan. 4. Moorhead continues to add to its bench strength as new faces see playing time each week. This week Feeney saw extensive playing time, scoring his first varsity points at home with an early three pointer and playing solid defense.
Maleeck Harden-Hayes led the scoring with 26 points in the 80-65 win against the Royals, while Quentin Hegg added 19 points and Drew Hagen scored an additional 13 points. Keeton Miosek also saw his first varsity basket as he completed a layup at the end of the game in the Spuds win.
The Spuds improved their record to 9-3 after playing away games last week.
They return home to play West Fargo at 7:45 p.m. Jan 18.
