Moorhead High girls basketball falls in section quarterfinals

March 5, 2019

Moorhead High’s Riley Polomny breaks away with the ball and goes for two points during the girls basketball Class 4A, Section 8 tournament quarterfinals held at Moorhead High School on Feb. 26. Moorhead was edged out by Buffalo in the last seconds of the game. The Bison converted a layup just as the clock ran out to win 62-60. Moorhead ended its season at 13-14.

Rylie Polomny was the leading scorer for the Spuds with 16 points. Sam Zimmerman had 14 points and eight rebounds. Ayana Blythe and Jalen Ennen added eight points each, and Megan Haugo had seven points.
