Open houses scheduled for students beginning kindergarten in the 2019-20 school year

April 5, 2019

Kindergarten open houses for parents and children beginning kindergarten in Moorhead Area Public Schools in the fall of 2019 will be held at the four elementary schools in April. Families can meet some of the teachers and staff, see their school, practice a bus ride, and get information to start the new school year strong.

Open houses are scheduled as follows:
• Ellen Hopkins Elementary and Robert Asp Elementary: Tuesday, April 16, 6-7:30 p.m.
• Dorothy Dodds Elementary and S.G. Reinertsen Elementary: Tuesday, April 23, 6-7:30 p.m.

Families of children on the school district census received information in January about completing the online kindergarten pre-enrollment for the 2019-20 school year at https://www.moorheadschools.org/enroll. Families who haven’t completed kindergarten registration should do so now so the school district can be ready for students this fall. Children must be five years old on or before Sept. 1, 2019. Students’ schools are confirmed following pre-enrollment.

Documents required for kindergarten registration include proof of age and residency, immunizations and home language form. Submit the required documents by email to enroll@moorheadschools.org or bring them to Probstfield Center for Education, 2410 14th St. S., Moorhead.

Call 218-284-3371 with questions or if you are not registering your child for Moorhead kindergarten this fall.
