Parents/guardians invited to discuss educational equity at upcoming community talking circles

April 16, 2019

Moorhead Area Public Schools invites parents/guardians of current and former students to participate in a discussion about educational equity. The upcoming community talking circles are an opportunity to work and learn together to make our schools better places for all children.

To share solution-focused ideas regarding education equity within Moorhead Area Public Schools, attend one of the following community talking circles:

  • Wednesday, April 24, 1:15-2:15 p.m. — Probstfield Center for Education Board Room, 2410 14th St. S.
  • Wednesday, April 24, 6-7 p.m. — Moorhead High School Cafeteria, 2300 4th Ave. S., Door 15
  • Thursday, April 25, 6-7 p.m. — First Congregational Church of Christ, 406 8th St. S.
  • **Saturday, April 27, 10-11 a.m. — S.G. Reinertsen Elementary, 1201 40th Ave. S.
  • Monday, April 29, 6-7 p.m. — Robert Asp Elementary Media Center, 910 11th St. N.
  • **Wednesday, May 1, 6-7 p.m. — Vista Center for Education, 2777 34th St. S.

Light food and refreshments will be provided.

**Interpreting services for Somali, Arabic, Kurdish and Spanish will be available at the April 27 and May 1 community talking circles.
