Last day for students remains June 4; school to be held April 22

Moorhead Area Public Schools has scheduled the district’s remaining makeup days for staff only. The last day for students remains Tuesday, June 4.
In February, the district scheduled Monday, April 22, 2019, as a student instructional day as makeup for the Feb. 7 weather-related school closure day. April 22 was identified on the 2018-19 calendar as the first emergency makeup day.
At that time a decision had not been made related to making up the Jan. 29-30, 2019, closures for extreme cold. Since then school also was canceled March 14 and April 12.
The legislature did approve a special waiver for districts for the 2018-19 school year related to required student contact hours.
Staff will make up their required days with professional development. The schedule for staff makeup time is being finalized following the April 12 weather-related school closure.
