City of Moorhead announces goal of opening two road segments before school starts
August 27, 2019
The City of Moorhead announced on Aug. 26 that, depending on weather, two road segments near Moorhead High School could reopen by Sept. 2, the day before classes start for the 2019-20 school year.
Concrete pouring on 21st Street started Aug. 22. The estimated date for the roadway to open for traffic from 2nd Avenue going north is Monday, Sept. 2 (weather dependent). The concrete pour for 6th Avenue South and 20th Street South was scheduled to begin Aug. 26 with the goal of having the road segment open by Sept. 2, depending on weather.
Families are reminded to allow extra time for potential delays should roads remained closed.
