Dancers and music open district's all-staff assembly

August 30, 2019

Members of the Buffalo River Dancers and Singers opened the district’s all-staff assembly on Aug. 26 with several dances, including the prairie chicken dance, men’s fancy dance, men’s grass dance, and jingle dress dance. Delores Gabbard, a Native American liaison for the district, shared the women’s fancy shawl dance.

The Moorhead High School marching band performed the national anthem, led by two student directors. Under the direction of Pam Redlinger, the band members also played this year’s marching piece and closed by firing up staff members with the school song.
