Moorhead High volleyball team beats Bemidji

October 16, 2019

Moorhead High’s Jalen Ennen spikes the ball during the Oct. 8 volleyball game against Bemidji at Moorhead. The Spuds took the match 3 to 1.

Megan Haugo led the Spuds with 12 kills. Claire Howell and Ayana Blythe each added 11 and 10, respectively. Willow Carrier had 29 digs. Mya Pfeifer had four blocks.

Moorhead finished 13th at the Todd L. Bachman Invitational held on Oct. 11-12 at Lakeville North High School. The Spuds dropped the first two games on Friday losing to Jackson County Central in two sets and Sioux Falls Roosevelt 1-2. On Saturday they lost to Northfield, but won against Cretin-Derham Hall and Caledonia to finish in 13th place.

The Moorhead volleyball invitational is Oct. 18-19 at Moorhead High.
