School Board approves calendar for 2019-20 school year

At its meeting on Feb. 11, the Moorhead School Board approved the calendar for the 2019-20 school year. Classes will begin Sept. 3, 2019. The last day of classes for students is June 2, 2020, unless additional emergency makeup days are needed. Read More »

Moorhead School Board approves budget for 2018-19

During the June 25 meeting, the Moorhead School Board approved the district’s annual operating plan, which includes the preliminary budget for the 2018-19 school year. General fund revenues are projected at $84 million with expenses projected to be $85.6 million. Read More »

Welcome to Moorhead Early Childhood Family Education! ECFE is a program for every family with young children birth to kindergarten entry offered by Community Education, a program of Moorhead Area Public Schools. Families from Moorhead, Fargo, West Fargo and the surrounding areas are all welcome to attend ECFE classes.

ECFE is based on the idea that the family provides a child's first and most important learning environment, and parents are a child's first and most significant teachers. ECFE works to strengthen families and support parents in providing the best possible environment for the healthy growth and development of all children. Our licensed and experienced teachers keep up to date on the latest research on early brain development, parent-child relationships, child development and guidance techniques.
