At the Jan. 9 meeting, the Moorhead School Board voted to appoint former member Cindy Fagerlie to the board until a successor is elected. After interviewing 207 stakeholders and visiting 48 classrooms, the six-member AdvancED external review team provided Moorhead Area Public Schools with a recommendation for accreditation at the end of the three-day review on Nov. 2. Voters in the Moorhead Area Public Schools approved the district’s operating levy renewal 12,274 to 6,853 and elected four members to the School Board. School district election results were canvassed by the School Board on Nov. 14 and are now official. Read More »

With the opening of Dorothy Dodds Elementary School next fall, Moorhead Area Public Schools formed a task force to recommend elementary attendance areas for the four K-4 elementary schools. Welcome to Probstfield Elementary School! At Probstfield Elementary School, located within Probstfield Center for Education, we focus on early learning by using a results-oriented curriculum and instruction and by creating a culture of respect, acceptance and support for students in partnership with parents. Probstfield Elementary is located in central Moorhead and has approximately 200 students in kindergarten.
Family involvement is a critical link to student achievement, to achieving a high quality education and to a safe, disciplined learning environment. Parents and guardians have opportunities to become involved both at home and at school, and communication between parents/guardians and the schools is encouraged.
