Community Education and FMCT’s Summer Musical Theater Camp to present “Peter Pan Jr.”

Join us for an adventure in musical theater as Community Education and the Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre produce “Peter Pan Jr.” This four-week program running June 2-27 will mix theater education and performance rehearsals together. Students completing grades 5-8 are invited to participate.

8th Grade Orchestra to perform at the State Honor’s Concert

Moorhead’s 8th Grade Orchestra makes its 14th appearance at the State Honor’s Concert on Monday, March 31, at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis. The 103 members of the Horizon Middle School 8th Grade Orchestra received a top score at a regional orchestra festival to earn the spot at the state concert. Read More »

Department of Education approves district’s proposed construction projects

Moorhead Area Public Schools received approval last month from the Minnesota Department of Education for three proposed construction projects — a new track and artificial turf at Moorhead High School and additions to Robert Asp Elementary and Probstfield Center for Education. The positive review and comment from the commissioner judges the projects to be educationally and economically advisable.

School Board approves calendar for 2014-15 school year

At its meeting on Feb. 24, the Moorhead School Board approved the calendar for the 2014-15 school year. Classes will begin Sept. 2, 2014. The last day of classes for students will May 29, 2015. Read More »
