Moorhead Area Public Schools will give the Comprehensive School Climate Inventory, a nationally-recognized school survey, in November to all students in grades 3-12, with corresponding surveys for all parents and school staff. Moorhead High School’s award-winning theater department is excited to announce the regional premiere of “Matilda The Musical.” Performances will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 15-16, 22-23 and 29-30 with 2 p.m. matinees on Nov. 17 and 24. For several years, staff members at Horizon Middle School East Campus have been moving toward feedback-based grading, which focuses on students’ learning instead of their achievement on a particular assignment. Tom Schimmer, author of “Grading from the Inside Out,” spoke at a parent night at the beginning of the school year to explain the change in grading philosophy.
