District taking applications for two research task forces
March 24, 2015
Moorhead Area Public Schools is beginning the implementation process for the Facilities Master Plan, which calls for seven task forces to review recommendations made by the Facilities Master Planning Task Force.
Applications are now being taken for both the Middle School Research Task Force and the Technology Integration Research Task Force. Those task forces will begin meeting in April.
Applications are being accepted until Friday, April 3, from community members interested in serving on those task forces. The task forces will include representation from stakeholder groups in the community. Applications may be submitted at http://goo.gl/forms/ysPeiDQ7zU or contact the Superintendent’s Office at 218-284-3330 for a paper copy of the application.
Applications for other research task forces (elementary, high school, alternative programs, facilities) will be taken this summer, and those task forces will begin meeting in the fall. The early childhood research task force has been meeting already.
Moorhead Area Public Schools worked with Cuningham Group in preparing a comprehensive facility master plan to guide facilities planning and improvements for the next 10 years. A facilities steering committee led the effort and a larger Facilities Master Planning Task Force incorporated community members in the planning process. More information about the facilities master planning process and the Facilities Master Plan are available at www.moorheadschools.org/facilities.
