Three Moorhead High girls swim team members headed to state

November 17, 2015

Three members of the Moorhead High School girls swimming and diving team, diver Tabby Roman and swimmers Kenya Arends and Katelin Winter, will compete in this week’s State Girls Swimming and Diving Meet Nov. 18-20 at the Aquatic Center on the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis. Roman will compete in 1 meter diving. Arends will compete in the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle. Winter will compete in the 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard butterfly.

Earlier this season, Arends, Winter and teammates Cora Sather and Emily Haugrud set a new school record in the 200-medley relay. Moorhead High’s team placed fifth in the Section 8AA tournament.
