Boys basketball team plays final home game of season

March 1, 2018

In the boys basketball game against the Fergus Falls Otters, Moorhead High’s Ethan Hoff shoots a three pointer while Ben Nelson plays his position. The Spuds played their final home game on Feb. 22 to a full house at home against a hard-driving Fergus Falls team.

Maleeck Harden was the high scorer for the Spuds with 22 points. Alend Alemadi added 16 points in the 69-64 loss to the Otters.

Seniors and their parents were honored before the game. Each player received a plaque, a Moorhead basketball, and the recognition of their families and fans. Coach Tyler Bormann tweeted about the game, “So thankful to have the opportunity to coach our 6 seniors & glad we were able to honor them tonight.”

The boys basketball team has a final game at Sartell on March 2 and will begin section tournament play at 7 p.m. March 6 at Moorhead High School.
