Moorhead High theater presents story of Helen Keller in “The Miracle Worker”

April 13, 2018

The Moorhead High School theater department presents the story of Helen Keller in the spring production of “The Miracle Worker” on April 26-29.

Young Helen Keller, blind, deaf, and mute since infancy, is in danger of being sent to an institution. Her inability to communicate has left her frustrated and violent. In desperation, her parents seek help from the Perkins Institute, which sends them Annie Sullivan to tutor their daughter. Through persistence and love, and sheer stubbornness, Annie breaks through Helen’s walls of silence and darkness and teaches her to communicate.

Moorhead High School’s performances of “The Miracle Worker” will be at 7:30 p.m. April 26-28 and 2:30 p.m. April 29 at Moorhead High School, 2300 4th Ave. S. Tickets can be reserved online at https://www.moorheadschools.org/tix or by calling 218-284-2255. Adult tickets are $10 and student tickets (age 18 and younger) are $6. Tickets also may be purchased at the door.

The sign language interpreted performance will be Thursday, April 26. Patrons requiring sign language services should reserve priority seating through the box office at 218-284-2255.
